Reading Town Hall and Reading Museum


The Old Town Hall with its clock tower occupies the middle part of this photo. The Museum is along Blagrave St. to the left. There is
much to see about Reading Abbey in the museum: sculpted stones from the Abbey in the Window Gallery, and the background to and
artefacts from the Abbey in The Story of Reading Gallery. More information can be seen on the Museum's list of permanent galleries.

The coat of arms of the Borough of Reading on the south wall of the Town Hall complex. These were officially granted in 1953. This part
of the building was damaged by the World War II bombing raid of February 10th 1943 and restored during the 1980s
